Two Men Face Charges Over Heathrow ‘Pepper Spray’ Attack
Two individuals are now facing charges related to a luggage theft where a suspected capsaicin spray led to people being hurt at the major London air hub.
Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, now face two robbery charges and charges for using a harmful chemical, authorities have stated.
These accusations come after an investigation into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal Three on Sunday. Before the assault occurred, two female travelers had their suitcases taken after getting out of a car park lift, according to law enforcement.
A toddler was among those injured in the event. Five people required hospital care and were eventually allowed to go home.
This event – described by police as was not part of a series and deemed non-terroristic – caused disruptions to rail services and the temporary blocking of the main airport road tunnel and the T3 parking area for a limited duration.
