The Initial Game Pass Titles of 2026 Show Xbox Remains Committed.
Everywhere you go, commentators persist in tolling the knell for the Xbox brand. Microsoft's console just got outsold by a platform few have heard of. Dedicated Xbox communities have started writing regarding Sony's platform as a new development. 2025 was a period of total upheaval for the Xbox ecosystem. But if we're going solely off what's coming to Game Pass in 2026, it becomes clear that Microsoft continues to plan to attract subscribers with compelling titles on its flagship service.
The Immediate Additions
The two games you can play right now at this moment, Brews & Bastards and Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition, are not the headliners. The true anticipation is for the upcoming titles to Game Pass in the coming weeks that's worth getting excited about.
Significant Forthcoming Releases
Come mid-January, the platform will add the often-overlooked Star Wars Outlaws, a sprawling adventure that refreshes typical Ubisoft design with a cosmic robbery tale. Another big get is Resident Evil Village featuring the towering Lady Dimitrescu, which our 2021 review called "the perfect cocktail of horror and action."
Compelling Indie Titles
However, the more modest titles set to join the catalog are noteworthy here. Lost In Random: The Eternal Die, the criminally overlooked roguelike offering thrilling gameplay, drops on Jan. 7th — and it's worth experiencing even if you missed out on the first Lost in Random game.
The game set in a ruined Britain from last year may draw you in remarkably quickly.
Atomfall, the stealth survival game by Rebellion Developments, is another one to watch. Those with the top-tier subscription also have Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine – Master Crafted Edition to get excited about.
A Solid, Curated Lineup
Ultimately, these aren't the most groundbreaking additions to Game Pass, and they don't represent massive exclusive blockbusters that validate the subscription in the first place. But Microsoft's additions here are rock solid. The lineup provides a solid mix of past releases that passed you by and fairly new titles that didn't get the attention they warranted upon launch — rendering them perfect candidates to find a new audience on Game Pass.
Hope you're ready to bid farewell to The Grinch Christmas Adventures, however.
