Salah Offers Apology to Liverpool Dressing Room, Reveals Curtis Jones
Jones has shared that Salah expressed regret to the team in the wake of the uproar from his public comments.
The Incident
The striker was dropped from a key Champions League match following making accusations and stating his rapport with Arne Slot had soured.
“Salah is an individual and he can say his own stuff,” the midfielder said. “He apologised to us and was like: ‘If my words hurt anyone, I apologise.’”
Arne Slot has refused to reveal on whether he got an explanation from the veteran striker.
Looking Ahead
He emphasized that the dressing room atmosphere was unchanged. “He was his usual self, he was smiling and we all treated him normally,” the midfielder explained.
The midfielder also implied that a competitor wanting to play is preferable. “I get that there are specific approaches you can go about things,” he said. “But if a lad’s fine to just sit out, then I think that’s a bigger problem.”

The team's performance have been impressive in the games following the situation. He feels the forward's comments were not intended to destabilise the squad.
