The loved ones of teenagers lost after a devastating blaze at a establishment in a Swiss ski resort are facing an agonising wait for answers and pleading for clues about their children online.

The blaze ripped through the Le Constellation bar in the alpine resort, located in the Swiss Alps of the Valais region, in the small hours of New Year's Day. Circulated video reveal the ceiling being engulfed in flames as beverages with fireworks are raised in celebration.

Emergency services have stated that it could take an extended period to formally name the victims of the disaster, which killed four dozen individuals and injured another 119. Authorities stated on the latest update that the majority of the those hurt have been accounted for, with efforts still underway to identify the other six.

Desperate Searches for the Missing
