Homages Continue for Rob and Michele Reiner as Autopsy Reports Face a Security Hold.

Well beyond 14 days after the tragic deaths of esteemed filmmaker Rob Reiner and his wife, photographer Michele Reiner, peers and loved ones continue to honor the duo.

‘Life is Pain Without You’: Cary Elwes Pays Tribute to His Director

Posting on Instagram, actor Cary Elwes, who was featured in Reiner's iconic movie *The Princess Bride*, mentioned he finally felt prepared to post publicly about his deep grief.

"Sufficient time has elapsed that I can at last articulate my loss into words," posted Elwes, noting that his first meeting with Reiner created an instant bond. "As we began spending more time together I understood this was someone I longed to have in my life."

The actor uploaded archival material from the production, adding that he doesn't recollect "one day without laughter".

"The film is about love, loyalty and sacrifice. Things that Rob valued immensely. That is part of the many reasons he was the best person to direct it," Elwes expressed.

He went on to praise Michele Reiner, noting: "Asserting that they were a incredible duo would be an oversimplification. My heart still pangs every time I think of you." He ended with a line from *The Princess Bride*: "Indeed, death cannot stop true love but living is anguish without you."

Martin Scorsese Remembers a Fellow Artist

In a distinct tribute, revered director Martin Scorsese shared memories of Reiner, whom he first met in the 1970s.

"Right away, I loved hanging out with Rob. We had a innate rapport for each other. He was uproarious and sometimes bitingly funny, but he was never the kind of guy who would dominate the room," Scorsese said.

Scorsese mentioned Reiner's cameo appearance in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, embodying the father of the lead role.

"His improvisation skills with the best. He was a master at comedy, he worked beautifully with everyone, and he comprehended the human predicament of his character," Scorsese added.

Legal Developments: Autopsy Reports Restricted

In a new development, a Los Angeles superior court judge agreed to bar the release of the Reiners' autopsy reports, following a petition from the Los Angeles Police Department.

A legal directive issued a restriction on the files to restrict the public release of "related notes, evidence and photographs" pertaining to the probe.

The coroner's office had already determined their deaths were the consequence of homicide, with a record citing the cause as "injuries from a sharp object".

Fallout and Commentary

In the wake of the killings, public personalities shared divergent responses.

Ex-President Donald Trump commented on the matter, providing divisive statements that were widely condemned by numerous public figures.

Podcaster Joe Rogan lent his perspective to the those speaking out last week. Conversing on his podcast, Rogan labeled the remarks as "disturbing" and suggested they demonstrated a troubling lack of empathy.

Rogan ended by remarking that an associate should have stepped in when the impulse to comment on the death was made.
