FC Barcelona Ready for Inaugural Game at Partially Completed Camp Nou this Saturday
The club confirmed they are set to host at the still-under-construction Camp Nou over the weekend. They will welcome the Bilbao team in domestic competition over two years following their departure so building work could begin.
“We envisioned this comeback. The moment has arrived. Home again at Spotify Camp Nou.”
Attendance will be limited though over 45,000 attendees will be allowed to watch under the licence granted. After final construction, it will accommodate almost 105,000 spectators, up from the previous 99,000. Officials confirmed finished work included an updated entryway for the team and new dressing rooms.
Recent Activities
Barça organized a public practice on the home pitch in early November. Officials stated they are seeking authorization from Uefa to play their next home Champions League game versus the German side in December at Camp Nou. Their recent games have been held at Estadio OlĂmpic LluĂs Companys.
