Aircraft Carrying US Defense Secretary Forced to Touch Down in UK Due to Fracture in Windshield
An aircraft ferrying Pete Hegseth was required to make an unplanned landing in the Britain on Wednesday after a crack was found in the plane's windshield, as stated by an official announcement which confirmed that all passengers were secure.
"The jet touched down in accordance with established safety measures and all individuals on the flight, such as Defense Secretary Hegseth, is unharmed," a spokesperson stated in a public statement.
Hegseth was returning from a short visit to the city of Brussels at the time.
This incident isn't the initial instance that a United States armed forces jet ferrying a top government figure has experienced mechanical issues.
Earlier this year, a American military jet transporting Marco Rubio to the city in Germany was forced to turn back to the US capital after suffering a technical issue.
